Navigation Bars duplicate X8 +

I bought 2002 FrontPage upgrade and have been having
problems with the (navigation) link bars duplicating X8
after I save it. This does not show in FrontPage program
but shows up when I check the files in C://.
Any edit on any page will trigger 9 shared boarders with
the navigation links. I then have to edit them out in
notepad before FTP is done. The website publishes OK.

Other nasty things it does is totally wipes out everything
on the page except the shared boarders! Good thing I back
up!!

I took this software back and exchanged it but the new one
does the same thing! I tried starting from scratch as
well with new shared boarder and got the same X8
extra!!

I'm working on Windows Me & (Office XP web components that
came with FrontPage 2002) and Office 2000 premium on this
Dell PC.

Got any advice?

P.S this query was posted on Aug 28th and answered by
Kathleen Anderson. There were help with some patches that
are not quite what this system needs. (ie Office XP
Service Pack 1 got stuck @ 66% of the download.)

You need to install all MS Office service patches (and Windows Updates) or the problem will not go away
(close all background programs and virus scanner during the download)

I guess this will sound like a cop out.... but in my experience with clients
that had Win ME..... when we went to another operating system.... the
problems cleared up. I've had nothing but back experiences with it and
recommend you think about changing your OS.

Probably not much help or what you wanted to hear... but my 2 cents......
