Stu

I know this has been addressed before, but I can't find the post. I am
somewhat new to Frontpage and am having a problem with FP2002 navigation
bar.

After I publish, my navigation bar loses the format that I selected in
Frontpage. I seem to recall this is a problem, but I can't recall the
solution. Thanks for any help --

Stu

Hi Stu,

Thank you for the posting. As you indicated your navigation bar loses the
format that I selected in Frontpage.

We have testes on our side to try to reproduce the problem and we found the
possible situation can be as follows:

1. Before publishing the web site, the web page is not saved.

2. In the publishing process, the ¡°include subwebs¡± check box is not
checked.

3. The level selected is incorrect.

Although the navigation bar properties may look the same on each page
throughout the Web, the actual navigation bar generated by FrontPage is
unique to the individual page on which it appears.

The exact links generated by the navigation bar are determined by the
relative position of the current page in relation to the remainder of the
navigational structure. These relative links are referred to as Parent
Level, Same Level, Back and Next, Child Level, Top Level, Home Page, and
Parent Page.

In FrontPage Explorer, click Navigation Bar on the Insert menu. Under
Hyperlinks To Add To Page, check to verify if you select the correct level.
