Navigation bar vs. Interactive

I have published a web with navigation bar on the side with 13 page links. It
seems to load slowly, one at a time, and was wondering if the interactive
buttons load any faster.
 
If you are using themes for your nav bar buttons they should load about the same time since they are both using the same number of
gifs
