Navigation bar query

I have two websites One for a Cancer Centre and one for Cancer Centre
courses, ideally they would have been the same site but one had to be up and
running before the other. can i place a link in a navigation bar for each
site so as they look as if they are one site. i would not want to combine
them into one site now as the courses site is well known and income generates
 
In either site you can add links to external pages (FP2002/FP2000) or
to existing pages (FP2003) in navigation view. These pages will be on
the other site, such as the home page. The resulting link in the
navigation bar will have the same appearance as all other links.
