When I filter records in a split form using a lookup field in a combo box
nothing is displayed in the Record # of #. I've had this problem
since installing Access 2007 and I was hoping iyt had goytten bettor but no
such luck. Nothing is displayed there at times when I open the form..?
Does anyone have this problem??

Thanks,
james

Someone else was talking about this, James, but I can't repro it.
Here's what I tried in A2007 SP1.

Lookup table of states with 2 fields (abbrev, and full)
Local table of 15k clients, including a State field (abbrev.)
One-to-many relationship with RI.

Split form bound to table.
State combo stores abbrev, but displays full (2 col, first is zero-width.)
Filter by full state name.
Nav buttons show Record x of y in less than 1 second.
The Immediate Window (Ctrl+G) displays the form's filter like this:
? Forms(0).Filter
([Lookup_State].[StateName]="New York")

Not sure what's different from your setup. Perhaps you have a larger number
of records, or you don't have relationship with RI between the 2 tables? Or
perhaps you have Name AutoCorrect still turned on? Attached tables?
Thousands of values in the lookup table?

Actually it's working now. Not sure why but...
I inserted a Refresh All button into the Quick Access Toolbar.
After filtering I clicked the Refresh All button and the record #
and # of records did display and a field in the Datasheet and
the other area (calling it this for lack of a better term) in the split
form was selected or highlighted. For some reason this prompted
me to check my Tab Order. So I rearranged the Tab Order to
correspond to the same order in the other area of the form.
Seems when I did this it started to work fine and appears to
work fine this morning.
What or if the Tab Order had anything to do with this I don't know.

I'm not much of a trouble-shooter, I'm way too impatient.
That's why I post here. Sometimes I'll have a issue and I did
something that seems to have nothing at all to do with the issue
and the issue gets cleared up.

The cbo story is like mine but haven't tried it in the immediate
window.
And I do or did have 'Track name Autocorrect info on. It has been
turned off after the problem gotten cleared-up

Thanks much,
James
