Whever I start my Outllok 2003, I get a message saying that NAV cannot
repair and must be re-installed.

Don't get it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Uninstall NAV 2005, locate box, place CD in box, cover in petrol and
set alight. The only way to permanantly solve your norton anti virus issues.

Why don't you obey and see what happens ?

Thanks for the reply.

Very enlightening.

What a waste of petrol :-) Especially if you bought the right to download
it!

Seriously, I have just posted about another problem with NAV 2005 and
Outlook Express. Nice to see that there are other issues with this software.
Next time I'll wait 6 months until they have resolved them - as I usually
do.

Well that might just work. However putting on my programmer's hat, I have to
tell you that programs check a set of conditions which the programmer
happened to think of at the time. Anything else results in a default
message. In the case of Windows it is "out of memory". In the case of NAV
apparently it is "must re-install".

This is most likely a bug which will be fixed if it is reported.

As long as we're doing so well with NAV 2005, here is another problem.
Since I've installed it (I know, I know), rebooting my computer has SLOWED
dramatically. I've been to "task manager" but I'm afraid to start whacking
the processes (which fill a page). I'm not sure what they are or what they
do. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Best to repost up higher this is down a bit. I have checked teh symantec
faqs and got nothing I do now wrt mcafee and it loads heaps of files as well
and does slow starting and especially shutdown up quite a bit.

Will leave further comment to someone more experienced with NAV.
