NAV Worm Signatures not loading with Live Update - help needed

Hi to all you experts out there!

I'm using Norton Internet Security 2006 on a PC running Windows XP Home
Edition version 5.1.

When I run Live Update, it updates everything except the Internet Worm
Protection Signature Update, which gives me error number LU1848 "couldn't
create callback object". Ran the Symantec automatic diagnostics, which said
everything OK. Then followed the tips on their site to disable firewalls,
but no good. I previously had a trial version of NAV 2005 which I
disinstalled. I found a posting from a guy with a similar problem with NAV
2005 on a private forum and some guy asked him about the previous version
and asked him to post dat files and registers and stuff, but it was all too
hard for him. I suspect I've got a similar problem, and I think I am up to
providing all necessary details. Anyone help?
