I have erased the entire Symantec folder in my Registry under..
HKEY/LOCAL_MACHINE/software
and then, i attempted to reinstall it but it came out unsusccessful.. I then
restored my computer to an earlier date and it brought back the folders. But
now when i start my computer, NAV has an alert message that says that
something has been changed in it that might have been from haccker or virus
and I have to click okay to restart. The sad thing is that it does this All
the time i restart and i can't go on my computer. In response i went to
msconfig and removed anything NAV related from starting and that has helped
me thus far but I do not liek the idea of staying online without an
antivirus software on.. can somebody please help!!!!!

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

1. Conact Symantec tech support. or

2. Uninstall all Norton products and Install the free ant-virus AVG.
Go to the symantec website to get their NAV removal tool.

uninstall, then reinstall...that should fix you right up. go to safe mode
to access your pc, restart your pc and as soon as the screen turns black hit
the F8 key repeatedly until you get to the safe mode, etc options. Click on
Safe Mode. Then, find your setup folder, it will be called Nav90esd...or
something like that..If you are not sure where it is, do a search, and when
the search finishes check the list for the setup file. Make sure you have
that file. If you can't find that file/folder..post back before you do
anything else Then, go to add/remove programs, and find you Norton, and
remove it from there. Then, go back to you Nav90esd file, or whatever yours
is called, and run the setup.
