I've been given a 5 license pack of NAV v9 (Corp).

I've installed it on one machine to 'test'. It seems to have lot's of stuff
to 'play' with and amazingly runs faster than any retail version of NAV I've
seen. Why is this?

Thanks

Clive

Because of an interface that is designed to do what it's supposed to
do and nothing more. You don't have to contend with those silly
animated graphics and other AOLish features.

You're right, NAV Corporate is a good product. Norton for adults.

Bill's right about it being Norton for Adults. SAV (not NAV) Version 9
offers a lot flexibility for centralized administration that previous
versions lacked. It uses different scan engine technology than the
commercial software Symantec peddlers to home users who want sizzle and
demand little substance. Enterprise users generally are more demanding
and want substance, not sizzle.

If their commercial software for home users was anything like SAV,
they would become even more popular. And those who have bitched for
years about NAV's useless bloat and nonsense would be the first in
line to buy it, including me.
