I posted this initially to the Symantec site in error. Here is where
it belongs :-).

I have run into major (disaster) problems with Norton AV 2004 on my
wife's computer (Win98) and so I am researching AVG as a possible
alternative, using my computer. I want to install AVG on my Dell 2
MHz with WinXP. I presently have Norton System Works 2003 installed
(until 1/05). What precautions should I take?

Symantec's Norton is rapidly becoming a royal PITA! I am presently
dealing with an "activation code" issue with both Norton and the
vendor of my recently purchased Norton Antivirus 2004. I am not
holding my breath, thus my intrest in AVG.

Can I run both of these for a while without major problems? (I can
handle anything short of disaster :-). I am just about to restore the
backup (Drive Image 2002....Symantec didn't screw it up :-) ) on my
wifes computer.

Any input would be appreciated.

Norton anything should be avoided for the trouble it causes.
