Native Mode Question

We just finished our Windows 2000 upgrades. We are
running a mixed mode domain. All servers are Windows
2000 and we are running SQL 2000 and Exchange 2000. I
want to convert to Native mode. I know to physically do
this, all I really need to do is push a button but I have
two questions:

1. We have another site on the same domain with a DC
there. Do I need to do anything special with this
controller too or will everything replicate?

2. I cant find anything on the actual processes going on
in the conversion. Can this be done live with users on
or does everyone have to be off the systems? How long
does it take? Does anything major change as far as
tools, naming or anything else?

Thanks.

1. Nothing special needs to be done to the DC. It will become aware of the
change by replication.
2. You can make the change while users are on the network. The change is
instant. Other DCs will become aware of the change by replication so the DC
at the other site will need to wait for replication to occur based on your
replication schedule. You can force it by using replmon.exe. There are not
any major tool changes other than the fact that you will have the option to
use universal groups and perform group nesting in AD users and computers.
