I'm scanning some pages from National Geographic Magazine for my own use with
Vuescan software. If anyone else has scanned from this magazine can you please
tell me what media type setting and black and white point percentages gave you
the best results.

TIA

I'd think that descreening would be more imporant than black/white point.
Default should be fine for pubs.
AFAIK VueScan still doesn't have a decreening filter built in? (I'm way
back on versions). Or does the media setting "magazine/newspaper/etc" add
some default lpi descreen?

From the Input screen, change the scan mode to Flatbed, then the media type
to Magazine. Now the options pop up for descreening :)

Guess I need to update next time I need this function.
No options when I select those parameters, in ver 7.6.1.
And yes, seeing advanced options.

Thanks for the reply.
