I have a Windows 2000 Server system running NAT.
NIC1 (LAN): SMC 9452TX EZ Card 1000 V2 (I believe part #
99-012084-215), Driver version 6.14.0.0
NIC2 (WAN): Intel PRO/100 S Desktop Adapter, Driver version 8.0.15.0
The system itself can browse internet sites without any apparent
problem. Any site I go to loads fast, I can click links and go "deep"
into a site and not have problems.
The systems connected to it for internet access have frequent,
semi-consistant problems accessing web sites or portions of web sites
(yet pings to those sites indicate no problems). For example, I often
visit www.experts-exchange.com. However, while the server can access
this site and seemingly any page on it, the clients will only sometimes
load the site's main page and rarely if ever successfully follow a link
on it.
We had another system for redundancy, it was also running Server 2000
and providing NAT services flawlessly. However, that system has been
retired. I've set this up at least a half dozen times and never seen
such issues. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, I would
appreciate it.
Thanks
