Hi All, i'm tryiong to buy a NAS box for use at home, and had an idea
to connect this NAS box to the TV aswell, to possibly play stuff direct
through the tv. does anybody know of a way that this can be done - or
is this a different product to NAS? any input would be great.
Thanks in advance

Yes, you need more than just a NAS to play stuff thru the TV.
You need some form of media center which can certainly get files off the NAS

This is quite simple. You just plug the ethernet cable into
you TV, and tune to the data-carier modulator wave (DCMW). Your
TV should have that somewhere. If this does not work, try
upgrade the TVs RAM or reposition is to match the earth's axis.

O.k., that does not work ;-)

Seriously, you need a computer to play any video from a NAS.
The TV can only display the output signal from the computer
(if the computer has a video-output). Data as the NAS delivers
is completely meaningless to a TV. A TV also cannot be attached
to a data-network.
