We are looking at integrating a NAS into our environment. One of the devices
we are looking at is an Adaptec Snap Server 210. The saleperson sent me an
email that indicated this devices supports block level access NOT file
sharing and I should be aware of that... What exactly does this mean to
me??
This device will store documents only - no databases will be stored and
accessed from this device. There will be no real "locking" requirements.
Users will simply be reading and storing documents from the drive.
I am not 100% sure if I should be worried about this or not.
Thanks, Brad
