I'm working with a client who is blind and been using Narrator in XP Home to
speak the screen text to him. Recently he purchased AT&T Natural Voices as
an upgrade to the existing MS Sam voice. The voices loaded correctly and in
the configuration windows you can select the AT&T voices. You can also
preview them. The problem is that the Narrator program continues to use the
MS Sam voice. Are At&T voices supported? Did I miss a step in the selection
of voices? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Carey,
Why didn't I think of that. Shame on me for assuming MS had anything to do
with it. Oh yeah, Bill Gates rocks...He should make MORE money, and anybody
who doesnt like that can always invent the next successful OS and be richest.

Yeah...... ....Thats what I forgot to say.

Logic would dictate that problems with a third-party
program are best solved consulting the third-party
who wrote the program. Bill Gates had nothing to
do with your issue.

Once again I applaude your fantastic intelligence. Really... no joking. But
I'm left to wonder, based on Ken's response, why MS wouldn't support these
voices or any others. I'm working with Vista on two lab machines and the TTS
seems to be unchanged...
And regarding Bill... He still ROCKS

Thanks Ken!
As I said to Carey, I'm left to wonder why MS wouldn't support these voices
or any others. Is it because you guys are to hard to compete with. I guess
it doesnt matter now. I'll need to migrate the client to the TextAloud
software. I wish I had known this before training him for the Narrator key
strokes. Does TA speak the desktop items and anything typed or moused over?
If not, can you possibly suggest an alternate product that has this level of
functionality?

Thx,
Tom needs psych, I meant Narrator, help

....and why shouldn't he make more money? Good for him!
