Napoleon Dynamite

Not seen or heard of this so will give it a go when I'm back :)
 
The story behind it:

There's a film festival in the USA for VERY low budget films, like £2000 dollars. Loads of famous movie critics go, and is unusal for any to sit through the whole thing... BUT, the entire audience sat through Napoleon Dynamite, and it won the festival easily.

They then got funding, like £250,000 or maybe much less i think (nothing for a big movie) to remake it professionally. It became a HUUGE hit in the USA, it has made billions of dollars in the box offices, and thats not counting sales of merchandise, which is more common than i dunno... something very popular.

Its such a slow movie, anyone can understand it. You either love it or hate it...

I really didnt like this movie personally
i heard about it, heard my friend say alot of quotes
but when i came to watchign it, i could watch no more than 15 mins before i just said " im going to play a game" then i walked out of the room and never finished it.
most people love it, i cant finish it.
 
Yes i heard it got fairly slated in some parts of the states, over here it was more popular

It's the biggest film of all time in the 4-state area of the USA (KS, MO, OK and AK) it's phenomenal. No one hasn't seen it, NO ONE doesen't like it, and merchandise is EVERYWHERE!!

the movie is ok you dont have to rush out to the stores to rent it, but if you have it lying around one evening when you arent doing anything you should watch it. But it isnt the end of the world if you dont end up watching it
 
This has got to be the LAMEST film ever ... i fell asleep after what ? 20 mins ?! It just has no story line nothing to do ... it's just pathetically BORING !!!

By the way sorry for not being on hehe i been playing World of warcraft all summer :) And will continue !

Rubbish! That's got to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. EVER! I couldn't even see it through to the end... even with a drink in my hand. :eek:
 
I bought this yesterday after seeing it recommended on here... Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I don't get it. No story and I think I had a brief smirk once when he ran over the plastic bowl in his car...

Was this honestly a popular film in the US? I think it really was the worst film I have seen :eek:

If you want it, you can have the DVD ;) I don't think I'll be watching it again.
