I have a named range Ch =OFFSET(Ch!$I$4,0,0,Ch!$H$1,3) where $H$1 = Count
($I:$I)-1 but it doesn't show up in the name dropdown list. Is there any
reason for this? I'm using Excel 2000.
Regards Dennis

the Name dropdown only shows visible names that refer to ranges.

You can see your name in the Insert/Name/Define dialog, though.

Dennis,

It's just a fact that names that use formulae as opposed to just ranges will
not show in the names box. They do show in Insert>Name>define list, and I
don't know but I bet Jan Karel-Pietrese's Name Manager utility (available at
http://www.decisionmodels.com/downloads.htm) will also show them.
