Name server appears wrong

I am having a problem with my Name Server appearing in
DNS wrong. It will say "stephanie." I cant get it to
say "stephanie.mydomain.com" I have gone in the other
dns records and changed them to mydomain.com and then i
will restart the dns service and the one with the
mydomain.com stays in there but the other
one "stephanie." will also come back. I am at a loss. i
am also getting an error about something cant connect to
the Global Catalog and i cant figure that out eithor. If
someone can help me i would appreciate it. Thanks
