I'm having an interesting debate internally with the MIS dept. on
'name resolving' in outlook
My position is that it is *very much* possible to resolve on both
Firstname or Lastname, when putting in a name into the 'To...' 'Cc...'
or 'Bcc...' bar.
So 'Jim Barnes' can both be resolved by either putting in 'Jim' or by
putting in 'Barnes'
The MIS dept here says that resolving a name is either by means of
Firstname or Lastname. So 'Jim Barnes' can NOT be resolved by typing
in 'Jim' if name resolving is set to be on 'last name only' but *only*
by putting in 'Barnes'(and vice versa).
I'm pretty sure i am right, as in a previous company it worked OK, but
i'm just a user and not in MIS, so i need you guys to provide me with
the details on how to do that.
As for our exchange server, the only thing i could find out myself
was:
"Microsoft Exchange Internet Mail Service Version 5.5.2656.59"
let me know if you need more.
regards
Ronald.
