Name resolution

General setup.

2 domains (A and B). Domain A trusts Domain B but not vice versa. This is an
external trust. When adding users from domain B to resources in Domain A,
there is no name resolution, instead a SID number.

How do I get Domain A to resolve the names ???

thanks

Do both domains have access to the others dns name space? It sounds like
the workstation/server that is pulling up the sid's instead of the names
doesn't have access to the dns services of Domain A.

The easiest way is to have the primary dns server in each domain be a
secondary server for the other server.

Yes I believe I have the DNS setup correctly, the weird thing is, from Domain
A, I can connect to Domain B (requires authentication),
add my user ex. John Doe to the appropriate resource, and it actually
appears as this way.
Once I close the dialog box, reopen the resource and check permissions, this
is when I get the SID# as opposed to John Doe .... thanks
