I have one AD domain with two subnets, one local and one
in a remote office across a WAN link. Each LAN has its
own DHCP server. I have machines that are in their own
workgroups in both LANs. All machines use DHCP for their
IP addressing. I am able to resolve a machine in a
workgroup locally from another domain member machine. I
am unable to resolve a machine in another workgroup on the
remote subnet by name. I have the same issue with remote
clients on the VPN. How can I have the machines update
their data in the default domain name zone.
What about the 2 DHCP servers transmitting data back and
forth for name resolution?
Thanks,
RJ
