Really Shenan, thank you for the referral, but would an answer have been
more appropriate, or do you not know?"
Shenan *did* answer you, as I also did in the other thread you made about
this (or a similar issue) in the other newsgroup. As did Bruce Chambers.
Let's make this real simple for you:
1. Go to Google Groups Advanced Search and constrain your search to your
name. That way you'll see all the posts you've made and all the answers
you've already gotten. I'll even do it *for* you (see TinyURL below) but
now you will know how for the future.

I see five posts by you.
2. Now read through all the answers you got, requests for clarification,
etc. Find *one* of those threads and stick to it. It could even be *this*
one. BTW, disregard my comments about Vista in the answer I gave you in the
other thread although the fix is the same in XP (see below).
General information about user accounts (which you've already been told by 3
people, but maybe it wasn't clear):
1. You can't just change the name of a user account by renaming it. If you
change the name in the User Accounts applet from "Fred" to "Dawg", you have
only made a superficial cosmetic change. The actual user account will
remain "Fred". So naturally the path to My Documents which you see in the
addressbar will be "C:\Documents and Settings\Fred\My Documents.
2. You fix this by making a *new* user account named "Dawg" (or whatever you
like) and copying the data and settings (if desired) from "Fred" to "Dawg".
After you have "Dawg" set up the way you like and know that all your stuff
is there, you can delete "Fred" from the User Accounts applet. You don't
*have* to delete it if you want to have an extra account for emergencies
but you *can*.

(Note: You must log onto the new account once before you can copy anything
to it.)
Hope this has clarified things for you. Except for the information you
wanted about "Media backup discs", the other posts are all really about the
same thing. You apparently just didn't realize it.
