can you help us try to get rid of this problem?

It's a little difficult to figure out what you mean, but it sounds like you
think you have a worm called "nachi" and you want to know what to do about
it.

Worms are often given different names by different anti-virus organisations.
Symantec (the publishers of Norton AntiVirus) refers to this worm as
W32.Welchia.Worm. On August 20, 2003, Symantec released virus signatures via
LiveUpdate to detect W32.Welchia.Worm activity. Thus, if you had NAV
correctly configured and ran LiveUpdate, you would have been protected
against this worm.

The following article describes the worm in detail and includes Symantec's
removal tool for systems that have already been affected:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.welchia.worm.html

Before you attempt removal, you should find out if, in fact, your system has
this worm. To do so, go to Symantec Security Check and run their online
virus scanner:

This virus is absolutely awful. Mc.Afee Viruscan detects it, but fails to
clean it. This virus is pretty wild, so, the first thing you have to do is
use a good firewall, and then use Norton Antivirus (2004 is the best, but
slows your computer a lot). This antivirus, completely updated, was able to
delete the virus and clean the computer.

McAfee´s Viruscan 7.0 didn´t do the work. It said that it found and cleaned
this virus, but it didn´t.

The worm.nachi.b virus overload the svchost on your windows 2k/XP machine,
and makes it to sign that was an error on svchost. And when this sign
appears, your computer will begin to fail.

On that computer with this virus, the nachi.b overloaded the svchost and
then, windows couldn´t even cut and copy things, coudn´t print and even
couldn´t turn off.

So, use firewall and Norton Antivirus 2004 fully updated, and be prepared
for a long day.
