I am a new computer user at my home using regular dial up.
I have noticed several times a drop box comes down with
the n-case saying it needs fixing, I wait until the drop
box says done, and close the window.

However, this continually happens.

Any ideas on how I should fix this. I will need explicit
instructions.

Thanks for your help.

You have some spyware (n-case), the fix is SpyBot Search and
Destroy
from www.safer-networking.org

Download and install, run the update, then scan.

Greetings --

n-Case is a form of spyware. Two products that are quite
effective at finding and removing such scumware are Ad-Aware from
www.lavasoft.de and SpyBot Search and Destroy from
http://security.kolla.de/. Both have free evaluation versions.

Symantec provides removal instructions:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.ncase.html

Additional manual removal instructions for the most common
varieties of scumware are available here:

Those two spyware removal tools not only have a free evaluation versions but
also have free versions for "personal" use (not commercial).

You're quite correct. I'll try to remember to so amend future
posts.
