Excuse me, but does anyone know what kind of virus is PE_HANTANER.A

I discovered over 100 instances of it after a scan using PC Cillin 2000 with
the latest update.

It only appears on backed-up copies of files, such as within a zip file or
within ME system restore files. It's not on the original files though?

This virus infects .EXE files in the Kazaa and the Internet Explorer
download folder. By infecting files in the Kazaa shared folder, it is
able to spread via the popular peer-to-peer file-sharing network.

perhaps the originals have already been cleaned... did you configure
pccillin to clean infected files automagically? the zip files may still
show the virus if pccillin has difficulty cleaning files that reside in
compressed archives... and system restore files are generally a problem
for all scanners, you'll need to purge your restore points...
