Greetings,

I used Outlook Connector to import my Hotmail and MSN mail accounts into
Outlook 2003 (I use Win XP Pro). After importing the accounts, THREE new mail
folders appeared: one for the Hotmail accout, one for the MSN account, and
another one called 'MSN'. I cannot open this MSN folder, I cant delete it, I
cant close it. If I try to close it, a message pops up saying "The messaging
interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart
Outlook." But that does not work. Restarting the computer does not work. I
look in my Outlook folder, and the MSN.pst file does not even exist. If I try
to open the folder, another message pops up saying 'The set of folders could
not be opened.' I click on the Show Help link which leads me to a page about
running scanost and scanpst, but I have tried those. There is no MSN.ost or
MSN.pst file to scan! I cannot get rid of this folder! i have already tried
deleting all my email accounts, but it remains! PLEASE HELP!

You should see a separate set of folders for Hotmail and MSN, since they're
HTTP accounts, which always get their own PST cache. You may also see one
more labeled "Personal Folders" or "Outlook Today", unless you're using
Outlook Live. However, the third PST you describe indicated that somehow
you've corrupted your mail profile. Try a new one:
