Mysteriously missing drive space

When I open COMPUTER and look at my C: Drive, it shows 69GB of 127GB free.
That translates as 58GB used.

However, when i double-click the C: Drive and highlight the only 3 folders
(Program Files, Users and Windows), and then select PROPERTIES, they total
37GB.

I am missing 21GB of space someplace.

Thoughts?

System Restore and VSS ("Previous Versions")

The machine was only built and installed on Monday. I would be shocked if I
have that much in System Resotres and such... but maybe. Thanks for the
reply.

It is the system restore points. had the same issue and i just decided to
look at that hes what you do right click on your primary hard
drive go to disc clean up and under more options there is "System Restore and
Shadow Copies" click clean up and it will ask you to delete all but most
recent and hit yes and then waalla all you disk space is back.

to get it to stop it just disable system restore on your hard drives.
wouldn't recommend if you do use this option
