Mysterious File JTa01092 in OE

What is a file named JTa01092?

While compressing the dbx files on my XP machine my Norton Antivirus
software kept finding and scanning a file named JTa01092. I found the file
in C:\Documents and Settings\Internet User\Local Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{something or other GUID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express &
scanned it again. None of the scans indicated it contained a virus or was a
virus. I opened it with WordPad and in amongst the gibberish I found various
folder names matching folders in OE.

Comments please?

Hi

Have you virus checked your system with the latest definitions for your Anti
Virus program?

Also please try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your
system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://forum.aumha.org/downloads/cwshredder.zip
Spy Sweeper - www.webroot.com

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

<<...the latest definitions...>> Indeed I have. I update the definitions
every time I log on. I have done a complete sweep using Ad-Aware and Spybot.

If by "stop intrusions" you mean a good firewall I use Norton's. It warns me
of intrusions. Some of those intrusion warnings come in a flurry and
sometimes things are pretty quiet.

That folder is normal. OE stores your personal settings there. The filename
varies, but it's always letters and numbers. There are many of those so
called "mysterious" files in XP.
