In the last few months, I haven't been able to access Google's search page. All I get is an awkward cPanel website that says "There is no website configured at this address". The IP of the cPanel Web site is 207.44.220.3
I've checked my DNS resolver cache (ipconfig /displaydns) and realized that pretty much all search engines point to the address of 207.44.220.3
Here is a list of all search sites that point to that address
www.lycos.d
search.msn.co.j
search.msn.co.k
google.co.i
search.msn.s
auto.search.msn.co
google.co.k
search.msn.e
ns4.hotmail.co
google.co.n
search.msn.f
au.search.yahoo.co
and the list goes on..
I suspect a virus but I haven't found anything on my system. I've tried to flush the dns resolver cache but those entries persist. I've deleted LMHOST and HOSTS files, searched through the registry, rebooted, made an turkey sandwich, and still no progres
Any help on how to kill those static entries within the cache would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
Gerry
