I am creating a site with FP 2000 on Windows NT; the
hosting company uses Mysql database... will this work? and
any tips?

Thanks
Lisa

You should be able to do it as there are ODBC drivers for MySQL. Your best
bet would be to download it (it's free at: http://www.mysql.com/) so that
you can ensure that you can set thigns up similarly. Now, the next thing to
verify is that your host is actually running Windows NT/2000/2003 as the
database functions only work with Active Server Pages (ASP) which is
available in the MS web servers, but not in others. FP requires one of these
servers in order to work as it uses ASP for all the DB connectivity. Usually
if a host is offering MySQL it means they are probably a Linux/Unix hosting
platform.

Hope this helps,
