I am about to make the plunge with a new website using MySQL instead of
Access.

Any recommendations of good Hosting companies that wont break the bank?

Also, since this is new territory for me, and I am interested in any
upfront advice. This is going to be a site where lots of passworded
users will be inputting data into the database, with the ability to
modify their own data, and where I will need to have access and be able
to modify all data.

Are there special access provisions I need to look for in my hosting
provider? Any Gotcha's to look out for?

Thanks

Clark

Well, I have one suggestion for your first question at least.
www.gainwithus.com is where I have started a reseller account. They seem to
be on the level with very good reseller packages but band width limitations.

On Unix 1 MySQL with each domain (unlimited domains)
On Win2K 1 MSSQL with each domain (unlimited domains)

At $10 per month for 50meg ($100 for 12 months). I know you can get much
cheaper elsewhere for MySQL but they have a wide amount of options, all for
free and a good admin control panel. Very responsive help desk too.

If anyone knows anything bad about these guys, please tell.

Thank you both for the site recommmendations, looks like both offer sql
server which is even better (I think). Am checking out some details with
these guys and will most likely give one of them a try.

Thanks
