After 3 years XP screwed up, had to F-Disk. Had copies or found almost all
of my old apps but can't find a No install version of My IE. Have one copy
but old, no Google toolbar. Can anyone point me to a download?
Thanks
GoodTime Barnie and yes I have googled all I find is the lite
version.

Next time just copy the entire MyIE2 folder structure to a CD. If you lose
it, just drag it back to the HDD. It's totally portable.

Thks, actually I did do that, but the CD is corrupted somehow and won't
work on my or 3 other pcs, totally FOOBAR. Guess I'll have to get by with
my old copy until I find a newer one somewhere. Can't find a no install
copy of EditPad Lite either and it's on the same cd.

I do. Never use its mouse gesture feature so can't say
anything on it; but on other aspects it should be quite
comparable to or even better than MyIE; Most importantly it
is much more system friendly than MyIE (can't believe that it
has been more than a year, MyIE still has that default browser
setting problem; it seems to me that this particular bug is
not on their priority list).

Hey, it IS based on MyIE2. I never tried GB because I didn't like the name.
But I also didn't like MyIE2's name either. I prefer GB's name. Anything
beats "MyIE2".

So far, GB is missing a couple of features I like, but no deal killers yet.
I'll use it for a while. I like the no-install. Too bad the groups are not
quite compatible. Looks like 45 minutes work to modify them. :(

Actually, MyIE2 could easily be no-install if the author would distribute it
that way. I drag and drop the eMyIE2 folder to many computers and have not
had a single problem.

Of course, they are going to change the name of MyIE2 or so I hear.

....to "Maxthon". Good thing that the software is better than the new
name. IMHO

Are you serious? Argh...

It's embarrassing enough to recommend software named "My" something. Now I
gotta recommend something that sounds like skimpy underwear? :\

Bloodchen says that it'll remain free for normal use. No matter what
they call it, it's still the best IE shell that I've tried. I believe
that originally (Back when Changeyou did the original My IE) the "My"
was to state that it changes IE to "My" version of IE.
