my Xpe can't boot from compact flash

I copyed an image on a 2Gb Compact flash,
and converted it to NTFS.
I put it on a CF-Ide adaptor on a SuperMicro motherboard

When I power on, it gives me the error:
NTDLR: Couldn't open drive multi .....

What's the matter?
Can I deploy an image indifferently on a Ide disk or on a Compact Flash or I
have to make different images?

Do you have NTFS component in the image?
Did you market he CF as active when your formated the drive?

Hi Gianluca,
you converted your partition, but the CF should be prepared for XP boot
before by means of BOOTPREP.
Look for info about this utility.
The image for CF or HD is the same if you set partition dimension above 512
mb in the image settings.
