hi... my xp wont work properly. my desktop is'nt loading and neither is the
task bar or start button. was wondering if it was due to lose of windows
files and if so which files and where i could go to have them replaced. cheers

If I were you I would start your PC in Safe mode from pressing the F8 key
during the PC booting up sequence, and then run a virus scan...
Of course make sur the latest virus deffinition is installed...

Can you do anything at all with the computer? Does the WindowsKey
bring up the Start Menu? If it does then run System Restore (All
Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore) and choose the
most recent restore point that is prior to the onset of the problems.
That will replace any missing or corrupted system files.

Good luck
