My windows movie maker stopped working

Hi, I used the wmm2 for sometimeand it worked
fine.....but now each time I try to put a video effect or
transition it closes automatically, just like that...Can
someone explain me what to do.

You probably added some software which brought in one of codecs that MM2
doesn't work well with.

I have the some problem, I have a Sony VAIO and I suspect
that I have e conflict with some VAIO program.
What computer do you have?

I had the same problem, If you have a NIMO codec pack

installed un-install it, it worked for me..
 
You are having a conflict with an add-on codec--- most
likely DivX--- if you know how to uninstall seperately,
take out the .AX dll's first--- otherwise, just uninstall
all DivX codecs and see if WMM2 works again. Then you
can reinstall the DivX codecs one at a time and verify
WMM2 after each... Good luck!!!
