my windows defender and windows live one care wont update

I seem to have a problem with my windows defender and windows live one care,
it wont update. it keeps saying that it cant find updates at this time. both
the programs now are at high risk and i need to update them both as soon as
possible. Please let me me know whats the problem and email me about the
answers at (e-mail address removed) Thank you very much for your help
 
Hola Demetrio,

If you have Windows Live OneCare 1.5, you can and should remove Windows
Defender.

You must use care when evaluating test results such as this.

The test setup, in this instance, was not one that would demonstrate the
potential of Live OneCare. The design goal for OC has been to provide Vista
the best possible protection by including the capabilities of OC (formerly
RAV anti-virus) and WD (formerly Giant anti-spyware) integrated into one
package with a strong emphasis on real time protection. This was a test of
on-demand detection with XP Pro as the test bed.

While there is certainly room for improvement, it's still too early in the
day to write off Microsoft's efforts.

I have Windows Vista Home Prem. and have One care/w/WD also. With that I
have several Spyware programs also.

I have found that Windows Vista will not allow me to download any other Anti
virus programs. It tell me it is not compatable with Vist...What the Hell is
up with that.
WD does like it and Vista Doesn't like any other kind of Antivirus programs.
