My Windows 2k network is not working right.

I am using Windows 2000, Service Pack 4.
I cannot access my network but I can access any computer on it.

When I click on My network Places, I get 3 Icons.

1.Add Network

2.Entire Network

3.Computers Near Me

When I click on Computers Near Me, an Icon named xxxx comes up and when I
click on it I get:

"[.ShellClassInfo]

CLSID2={0AFACED1-E828-11D1-9187-B532F1E9575D}

Flags=2

ConfirmFileOp=0"

When I click on Entire Network I get only the Microsoft Windows Network
Icon.

When I click there is a long pause and then the My Network Icon shows.

When I click on the My Network Icon, there is a much longer pause (about 1
min) and I get an error message that says:

"(X) is not accessible The list of servers for this workgroup is not
currently available." (X) =workgroup name.

Then if I go to search and insert the computer name, after about 1 min my
computer shows up and I can access it. This is also true for any other
computer on the network

Can someone tell me why I can search and get any computer on my network but
cannot see any computer including my desktop through the network.

Make sure that the ip address of each workstation is in the correct range
and that the gateway is set to the ip of the server and also check the subnet
