My Vista has no basic programs (powerpoint, word, etc.) Why?

My computer came with a 30 day trial of the basic programs like powerpoint,
microsoft office, excel, word, and now it only has notepad and word processor
now that it expired. I need those programs, and when I bought the computer it
was all paid for, so I shouldn't have to pay to get them back after a 30 day
trial...Why doesn't my vista computer have these necessary programs?

Those programs are not part of Vista. What you had was a 30 day trial of
Microsoft Office. The 30 days are up now if you want to continue to use
those programs you will have to make the purchase.

If purchasing MS Office is not an option at this time you might want to
download Open Office software from http://www.openoffice.org/. It contains a
word processor, spreadsheet, presentation software and more. The software is
very similar to MS Office and it is free.
