While I'm in the middle of typing, listening to music,
downloading music, running multiple programs. No warning
just shuts off. It's a VAIO PCG-GRZ630 and it gets kind
of hot... everytime it happens. Any idea. I mean if its
standby I could understand but I'm working on the
computer. Like I am typing this right now, it could just
shut off in the middle of this email. Thanks

"and it gets kind > of hot... "

Likely that is the reason.

Check that the fans are working and that none of the vents are blocked.

If your computer is a desktop, unplug and open the case. If you have dust
collected inside, use a small vacuum {several models are designed for such
purpose} and carefully remove dust. If you have been working inside the
computer recently, check that the cables are where they should be and not
blocking air flow to the CPU.

Else, use Sony online support or call Sony technical support.

Some of the power supplies on the Sony computers were recalled last year.
Yours might have been one of the ones with the problem.
I purchased a PCV-RZ14G model last December & it was one of the ones
recalled.
