As administrator and sole user of Windows XP -- Home
Edition, I can select and change the picture I want to
appear on my Welcome screen. I've been selecting pictures
from those included in my Windows program.

The picture I realy would like to change is the one that
appears and takes up all of my screen after the Welcome
screen goes off. It's the screen and picture that my
Windows XP icons are superimposed on. How do I change
that picture??? Thanks for any assistance you may offer.

Right click the desktop then go into Properties and when the display box
comes up just click on the tab Desktop and you can change the picture
there.
Hope that helps.

Hello.easy one this. Firstly find the pic you want to go onto your desktop...could be a photo in your photo files,or anything at all,and RIGHT CLICK ON IT,from list of options left click on 'set as desktop background' and that pic will be there immediately. There are some pictures that wont do that, the way to find out is try ,if the drop down options dont show, then try again,I find all photos work fine, and most web page pics also, but web pics dont always come out clear, due to the pixels,ie frame size>ok.need any more help,? regards Marc
