My task list is not in the proper order when I print my calendar.

I have my task list ordered by Priority, then Subject. On the Task List
screen, it is organized that way. However, when I print my calendar, the
order is changed. It looks like the Task List on the calendar is ordered by
most recent entry. How I correct this?
 
To get help here please tell us your version of Outlook and describe what is
happening on your conmputer as we are helpful but not psychic. Be specific
as we do not know what you are looking at.

I have Outlook 2002 (10.2627.2625). I have established a task list (on the
Task window) that is ordered by Priority, then Subject and it displays
exactly that way on the Task window. Then I go to Calenadar and click Page
Setup. I print 30 days and include Task Pad in the printing instructions.
When it prints, the Task Pad on the calendar is NOT printed in the same order
on the Task window (that is, by Priority, by Subject), but rather in a
somewhat random way. The columns on the printed page are Icon (with check
marks on each Subject line) underneath the Icon symbol; a check mark column
with blank check mark boxes on each subject line; and, the Subjects ( in an
unrecognized order). So somewhere in the transition between the Task window
where everything is ordered correctly and the printed Task Pad on the
Calendar the order changes. Before I had to reinstall Windows due to a
corrupt file, I had it working, so I know it can be done.
 
I think by Task Window you mean Task Folder. If not come back as these
instructions may be irrelevant.

The TaskPad and the views shown in the Task Folder are not the same. You
can configure each independantly. To change the TaskPad so that when you
print it as part of a Calendar print, you need to:

right click the column header of the TaskPad (eg where it says Subject) and
select Customise Current View. Set it to show the groouping, columns etc
there and you'll get what you see in the TaskPad when you print your
Calendar.

THANKS! That works. However, now I have a little complication. The
Priority column is so wide that it pushes the Subjects column substantially
out of view. I'll be using bitmap so I'd like to minimize the column to
accomodate the Priority symbol leaving more room to display the Subject.
 
Always place narrow icon columns away from the left most edge of a table.
When you print a table with a narrow field on the left, Outlook wastes a lot
of space printing it. It's an odd bug.

I tend to put Subject as the left most field - drag it there or change the
order in the Customise Current View window.

That worked better although the Priority symbol was barely visible at the
right side of the page. Then it dawned on me that I didn't need the Priority
symbol at all if used Priority only in the Group By choice under Customize.
So I removed Priority from Fields, leaving Subject only and selected Priority
only under Group By. Seems to have worked fine. Thanks for help!
