My Sound Output

Please help if you can. The problem is that the left side output is the
only side coming out of the computer. The right side is dead. I've
troubleshot everything all the way from testing both speakers to cycling the
audio driver on and off and reinstalling the driver. I've adjusted every
audio setting that I could see that may have been the problem. Someone
please help. To help you in helping me, my computer porked a few weeks ago.
When it did the initial installation of drivers and such, I did say no to
some software that Windows said was not "endorsed by the Windows Logo" or
something like that. I still wonder if that could be the problem. There's
gotta be something I have to adjust, but the questions are, "what is it?"
and "where is it?" Please don't reply with asking me to roll my computer
back; that doesn't address the problem directly and I'm not interested in
doing that.

Thank You for your help and time

My apologies. I need to add that the computer is connected to my mini music
system.

To be more exact on my problem, both speakers play mono with the left side
only but not in stereo.

Rightclick the sound icon (bottom righthand corner of monitor, next to clock) and click Adjust Audio Properties
Under Speaker Settings click the Advanced button, under Speaker Setup select Desktop Stereo Speakers, Click Apply/OK

It sounds as if the speaker jack may not be plugged in all the way. This is
a common problem. It sometimes takes a little more pressure to get the plug
all the way in than might feel comfortable to do.
