My sound is weird

Ever since I tried to make a phone call through my computer the sound is all
messed up. It's so low, even if I turn the volume all the way up I hear it
very low and it's distorted, it's similar to listening to a movie or a music
CD in a fast forward mode. It goes really fast. It happens to all I hear in
the web and all my media files.
How can I fix this?

Have you updated any sound or modem drivers? Try rolling them back.

Hi, thanks for replying.
It has nothing to do with the drivers. I think the Phone Dialer application
messed the sound. I was not trying to make a phone call, I was just playing
with it seeing how it works. Anyway, I openned it again and I made some
changes in the settings and the sound went back to normal again.
