Hello,

I'm experiencing this strange thing with my site - it will not show-up on my
machine, though it shows-up on other machines.

Minutes after publishing, it was showing alright but after sometime when I
request for the site all that the browser says is that "the page cannot be
displayed." What could be going wrong?

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Can you post a URL? Are you accessing the page directly, such as
www.mysite.com/mypage.htm? I ask because when FrontPage posts a web site, it
checks to see what the default page should be named for that server. If it's
different than what you have it will change it. So sometimes we access the
page through www.mysite.com/index.htm, which could work for a bit as the
browser may have it cached, but FrontPage has checked with the server and
changed the page to www.mysite.com/default.thm.

Does your machine use the same ISP as the other PCs? If not, there could
be a problem with your ISPs DNS server.

Try downloading FireFox or Netscape onto that PC and see if the site comes
up in those browsers. If it does then it may be a problem with Internet
Explorer.

Yes it's a new site and I guess I have to wait to see how things will turn
out to be in few days time.

Thanks to you all.

It's not displaying on Fire Fox too.

Then it sounds like it's a DNS issue as Windsun mentioned. You should wait
a few days or call your ISP and check with them.

Ok, thank you David for your help.

is it a Windows 20000 or Windows XP machine??

If so, close the browser and open a command window and enter:
ipconfig /flushdns
and then press enter.
( note there is a space between ipconfig and /flushdns )

Then right click the IE icon on the desktop and select Properties.
Click the Programs tab.
Click "Reset Web Settings" and uncheck "Reset my homepage in the next popup.
Click OK all of the way out and then reopen the browser.
