my "search" doesn't work

when i click on search (for anything: files and folders,
etc...) nothing happens. no search options appear,
nothing. even if i click multiple times.
 
I also have same problem now on two computers, Also in Internet Explorer
search bar no search is made unless I type complete address starting http://,
any help
