my recent documents

Hi,

I deleted a file from my documents. HOwever,, the title
of the file still appears under the MOST RECECENT
DOCUMENTS AREA. How can I get this deleted ? thank you
 
Select it, right click and select delete.

This is normal behavior. What you are seeing on Most Recent Documents is a
shortcut. If you had clicked it, you'd see the system search for it and
then come back with a no such file or cannot find file message.

Hi,

You have two choices..

1)Clear out all your recent documents..
a)Right click the start button.. select properties.
b)Under the start-menu tab.. press the "Customize" button.
c)Click the "Advanced" tab in the window that opens.
d)Press "Clear List" under recent documents.

2)Remove just selected files..
a)Open Windows Explorer and browse to..
C:\Documents And Settings\Your User Name\My Recent
Documents

You can select the links in the right side window.
