My publishing changes, don't always show up

Hi,
I don't understand why just recently my published changes don't always show
up. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

It's not even just the images, but the text as well.
i.e. have made changes to the index page, but when I go to see it you can't
find them. However, when you go to one of the other pages then go back to
the 'Home' page (index) then you can see them?

Any ideas?
 
I just tried that and didn't change anything. Also deleted the temporary
file, but still no change.

Also, my client didn't always see changes either, as we used IM while trying
to work on the site.
 
I might add that I have made the changes in the remote site and downloaded
them to my computer and you could see that the changes were there, but again
when you clicked to see the pages in browser, you couldn't see them.

I will go to the host, and reinstall the server extensions and see if that
does anything. But its very odd that the changes show in the program but not
in the browser???/
