My printer is not communicating with my device 1/26/08 8:16 PM ES

I've tried restoring to earlier date, and still can't get my printer to work.
I have Windows XP Home Ed SP2
I have a HP Printer 7800 series, model number 7850
It was working fine until I moved location of computer to another
room...upopn setting it up, printer couldn't p;rocess...message I received is:
"The computer is unable to establish 2 way communication with this

I've been using my computer for over 6 years, and I've never had this problem.
I uninstalled my printer...I re-installed it with my disc for HP...and still
no printer...can you please help me.

i had a similar problem even tho i had not moved anything...i was told by
several that it couldnt be the cable but when i put on the new cable all was
well.....
 
Hi Mike, I'll try putting a new USB cable and see if this works..that is what
