My Power Point File Growing

I've received a power point file whose size is 9.61 MB. I wanted to make
some changes on it. These changes are just replacing some of the existing
photos with other same-size photos. I did that by using ppt 2007 version. I
worked on this for few days and when I checked the file I found it's 55 MB.

I did some experiments trying to figure out where all this growth came from
but I couldn't. But I noticed that if I just pretend doing some in the file
(like adding a text box and then delete it) and then save the file, it gets
bigger after saving. So looks like the file gets bigger every time you save
it.

It's kind of bizarre. And it doesn't happen when I do the same using version
2003. Anybody has an explanation and a solution.

Thx

Hi,

I suspect fast saves is turned on. This options appends new information to
the end of the file. Look for the fast saves information here:

Why are my PowerPoint files so big? What can I do about it?

Please holler back if that doesn't help.

Try using the 'Compress Pictures' Tool on the Picture toolbar...

Hi Glen

The fast save feature is not available in 2007 version. Only older versions
had this feature

Thanks
